The deal

Backchat is a party game. It is free to play, with no ads, and nobody pays to join a room.

17+

Backchat is rated 17+. Players type their own answers, and the After Dark setting, which the host has to switch on, includes adult prompts. By playing you confirm you are 17 or older.

What you type

You are responsible for your answers, your name and anything you put into a Local Edition deck. Don’t use Backchat to harass anyone, post someone’s private details, or share anything hateful or illegal. Hosts can strike answers and remove players, and we may remove shared front pages or decks that break these rules.

Local Edition

Local Edition is in preview. It is free for now, with a daily limit, and may change. Prompts are written by an AI from what you type, so check the proofs before you play. If paid extras arrive, this page will say so first.

No warranty

Backchat is provided as it is. We don’t promise it will always be up, or that every prompt lands. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss from using it.

Privacy and changes
