Party games for 3 players

Three is an awkward number for party games: duels leave someone out, and votes tie. Backchat changes its rounds for a small group so three people get a full night.

How Backchat plays with three

  • Front Page: everyone answers the same prompt and every answer goes up at once, so nobody sits out.
  • Porkies: a true fact with a bit missing. Everyone writes a fake, then tries to spot the real one.
  • The Staff Writer: the game adds its own answer to the mix, so there’s always something to beat, and a tie is rare.

When it grows

If more people turn up, they join the same room. At four or more the rounds switch to head-to-head duels, and up to 16 can play.
